Cypress Avenue Rite Aid Robbed For The 4th Time

An East Redding pharmacy has been robbed for the fourth time this year. At 10 minutes to Nine Wednesday night, two African-American males walked into the Rite-Aid at East Cypress and Churn Creek. The went to the pharmacy, jumped over the counter and gathered certain prescription drugs before leaving moments later. No weapons were seen. They were last seen running south along Churn Creek Road. Redding Police tried to track them with a K9, and a CHP helicopter assisted in the search, but the robbers were not found. Both of them were wearing hooded sweatshirts. One is about 6-foot-2 and the other about 5-foot-11 to six feet tall. A surveillance photo is posted to the KQMS Facebook Page. The three previous robberies at that Rite-Aid this year had very similar circumstances. A heist in February was believed to be done by the same robbers who hit a Chico Rite-Aid. Another robbery on July 22nd was followed an hour later by the robbery of a Rite-Aid in Corning. Those suspects were caught fleeing southbound on I-5 by a Glenn County Sheriff’s Deputy. The last hold-up occurred on August 30th. The Mount Shasta Rite-Aid was robbed on Halloween, also by two black males.
