Two people from Redding were arrested in Corning early Saturday morning after a search reportedly turned up a wide variety of psychoactive substances. 23-year-old Crystal Sainz and 27-year-old Gerald Strong were pulled over in a Mercedes Benz by Corning Police in the area of the truck stops. Officers reported finding various prescription narcotics, Heroin, and Cocaine in its powder form as well as Crack Cocaine, along with paraphernalia, scales and packaging materials. Sainz and Strong were both booked into jail and the Mercedes was impounded.
