Arizona Man Arrested After Stabbing In North Redding

An out-of-state man is accused of stabbing a Redding man during an argument. At 9:15AM Sunday morning Redding Police were called to Riverside Mobile Home Park off North Market Street. 58-year-old Stewart Kingsley of Bullhead City, Arizona was detained. He had apparently gone to a trailer looking for 57-year-old Jerry Scott to confront him about a debt. They argued a little before Kingsley reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Scott in the hand. Witnesses stepped in, took the knife away and detained Kingsley until police arrived. He was also in possession of a police-style baton and pepper spray. He was booked into jail. Scott was treated at a hospital and released.
