A motorcyclist who refused to pull over has been arrested. At around 3:30AM Monday morning, a Redding Police Officer tried to pull over a motorcycle traveling on Eastbound Highway 44 near Victor Avenue for a vehicle code violation. The rider didn’t stop and took the Shasta View Drive Exit, ran a stop light, and continued onto Goodwater Avenue. The pursuit continued onto eastbound Hartnell Avenue, then northbound on Old Oregon Trail to Old Alturas Road. The rider, identified as 54-year-old Troy Prine of Redding, abandoned the motorcycle and fled on foot. The officer quickly caught up to Prine who did not obey commands, actively resisted, and was ultimately taken into custody. Prine was treated at a local hospital, then booked into Shasta County Jail for felony evading as well as resisting, delaying or obstructing a police officer.
