CHP Seeks Information After Shots Are Fired On I-5

The CHP is hoping to find witnesses to a road rage incident that happened about a week-and-a-half ago. On November 8th at 3:30PM the incident started at the intersection of Deschutes Road and Highway 273 in Anderson. One vehicle was a silver 2014 Ford F-350 4-door pickup with a lift kit pulling a flatbed car trailer. The other vehicle was a white 2016 Nissan Rogue SUV. After a violent altercation at the intersection, both drivers headed north on Interstate Five. Somewhere between Knighton Road and South Bonnyview, the driver of the pickup with the trailer began to change lanes from the right to left. The CHP says that’s when the driver of the Nissan fired multiple rounds from a semi-auto pistol at the driver of the pickup. Both of them then pulled into the center median area and both of them called 9-1-1. Witnesses to any of the interactions between the drivers are urged to contact CHP investigators by calling dispatch at 242-3210.
