The Redding Fire Department was called out to a small vegetation fire in South Redding Monday night. The fire was reported at around 9:30PM behind the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park on Cedars Road. Crews arrived to find about a quarter acre of brush burning along the ACID Canal. They had it stopped within about 20 minutes. A homeless camp was found right in the middle of the fire, and it’s believed to have been the cause.
