Mystery surrounds the death of an elderly man in Mount Shasta City, who was found deceased inside a house that had caught fire. Around 5:30PM Monday afternoon, Mount Shasta Fire and Police were dispatched to an unknown type medical call at a home on Ream Avenue. They arrived to find the house had been on fire but it was already extinguished and it’s not known how it was put out or by whom. The body of 98-year-old Albert Mohr was found inside, according to the Mount Shasta News. An autopsy will be performed later this week to determine the cause of death. The fire department is working with the police department and the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department to determine the cause of the fire.
