An unidentified man was struck and killed by a freight train in the City of Shasta Lake Thursday morning. Just before 8:30AM, the man was walking along the tracks about a quarter-mile north of Lassen Avenue and Red Bluff Street when he was hit by a northbound freight train, going about 50 miles an hour. The man’s identity has not been released.
