A Cottonwood mobile home was destroyed in a New Years Day fire, according to the Red Bluff Daily News. Just before 3 O’clock, Cal-Fire crews were called to the structure fire on Bowman Road. They had the fire contained within about 20 minutes. Firefighters had to knock the mobile home down in order to extinguish all the hot spots. The resident was not home when the fire started, and the cause is still under investigation. Early Friday morning there were reports that 3 mobile homes were on fire on San Benito Avenue in Gerber.
