A man who’s been called a sexual predator is back in town making people nervous but Redding police say there’s nothing they can do. Daniel Selovich, who legally changed his name to “Pirate”, has a full face tattoo so he’s easily recognizable. Social media has been buzzing for the last few days with warnings about Pirate. He’s been implicated in the sexual assault, false imprisonment and torture of women in Las Vegas and Alaska and served time for the rape of a woman under the Cypress Avenue Bridge. Pirate was contacted by officers on the street Sunday but he’s not wanted for any crimes so he was not arrested.
