An Anderson woman died in a crash on Interstate Five over the weekend. Just after Midnight Sunday morning, the woman was stopped in the slow lane on the northbound side just south of Knighton Road with no lights on when her 2007 Nissan Altima was rear-ended by a 2007 Dodge pickup driven by a 25-year-old Cottonwood man. He apparently didn’t see the car in time in the dark and rainy conditions. The woman was killed, while the pickup driver was uninjured. The CHP says alcohol does not appear to have been a factor.
