Some federal disaster recovery funding has been issued to reimburse some government agencies for Carr Fire recovery. FEMA has issued 6.5 Million Dollars to the City of Redding for help in the costs in restoring the power grid. Almost $10 Million has been transferred to the California Department of Resources for debris removal. That covers the difference in the federal cost share that was increased from 75% to 90% as a result of a congressional resolution which Doug LaMalfa says he co-authored.
