A Redding man is facing charges that include felony DUI after a crash on Lake Boulevard Wednesday night. At around 9:30PM, witnesses reported seeing a car driven by 33-year-old Marco Antonio Merino swerving in and out of traffic prior to smashing into the back of another car, which was pushed off the road and into a tree near Saint Marks Street. That car was driven by a woman with two child passengers, ages 9 and 11. The three of them were transported to a hospital with minor injuries. Merino was also taken to a hospital, where he reportedly threatened officers, hospital staff and other patients. He was then booked into jail on several charges.
