A long-time community leader in Anderson has died. Former council member and former mayor Norma Comnick passed away at Mercy Medical Center Tuesday morning. Comnick was involved in many local events and causes, including Anderson Explodes, the Logging Conference and Rotary. Comnick had served on the Anderson City Council for 21 years. In 2006, when District 5 County Supervisor Trish Clarke left office, she narrowly lost a tight race to Les Baugh.
