A house in the Big Bend area burned to the ground Monday in a blaze that became a forest fire. It started at around 7AM at a 2,500 square foot house on Pit Five Road. The house was destroyed, with damage estimated at $250,000. Amost 8 acres of vegetation also burned before Cal-Fire contained the fire. The cause is under investigation.
