Rainfall In Redding Is 59% Of Normal For Mid-February

Rainfall totals in Redding so far this Winter are well below normal. The normal precipitation amount from October 1st through mid-February is just over 21 inches. This season, the city has received only 12.53 inches, about 59 percent of normal and well below last year’s season-to-date number of just over 23 inches. No measurable rain has fallen in Redding this month, although the National Weather Service Office in Sacramento is forecasting a chance of shower this weekend.
