Trail To Whiskeytown Falls Reopens After Carr Fire

A popular trail reopens at Whiskeytown National Recreation area Friday after an extensive rehab following the Carr Fire. Repair of the 1.7 mile section of the James K Carr Trail to Whiskeytown Falls required the rebuilding of a foot bridge and three rock retaining walls had to be built for re-stabilization of eroded sections of trail. The trailhead is on Crystal Creek Road about 4 miles off of Highway 299.
