Sweep Removes Over 10,000 Pounds Of Trash From Henderson Open Space

Once again, a problem illegal camping area has been cleaned up. Due to ongoing complaints from neighbors, the Henderson Open Space was the target of a sweep Wednesday morning. The Redding Police Department’s Community Work Program worked with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Alternative Work Program, Redding Parks Department, United Shasta and Neighborhood Watch volunteers. Although several people were contacted, no arrests were made. A large amount of trash was cleaned up…5 trailer loads, totaling 10,000 pounds was hauled away.
