Three elderly people from Fair Oaks were involved in a crash in Trinity County that they blamed on their dog, according to the Trinity Journal. Tuesday morning it was extremely foggy on Oregon Mountain west of Weaverville, with visibility as poor as 50 feet. 81-year-old Hwan Yung was behind the wheel going about 45 miles an hour when his small dog jumped into his lap, distracting him. When he looked back up the car was headed straight for the roadside. It struck a paddle marker and then smashed into the steep embankment. The front and side airbags deployed, preventing serious injury. 82-year-old Suo Yang Hyo was taken to Trinity Hospital with minor injuries.
