A man took a beating in a fight with his son and then tried to shoot him, according to Redding Police. Just before 9PM Friday night officers responding to gunshots on Henry Avenue found 57-year-old Alonzo Shoulders with multiple facial injuries. Eventually officers determined that during a family dinner, Alonzo started fighting with his son, 32-year-old Michael Shoulders of Cottonwood, and at one point Alonzo got a revolver from a bedroom and fired it several times toward Michael. Apparently, Michael was able to take control of the pistol, and then he left uninjured. Alonzo Shoulders was treated, then arrested for attempted murder, being a felon with a gun, domestic battery and more.
