Families who were wanting to get away from it all by camping have few options now. Shasta-Trinity National Forest has closed all their campgrounds, cabin rentals and picnic areas until at least April 30th. That includes Lake Shasta, Trinity Lake, sites along the Trinity River, Hayfork, Big Bar, Yolla Bolly Wilderness, and the Mount Shasta/McCloud Area. Lassen National Forest has implemented a similar closure, though their trail systems remain open to visitors. Lassen Volcanic National Park is completely closed to visitors until further notice.
