Drug Agents Raid East Redding Home

An East Redding man has been arrested following a raid of his home Thursday afternoon. At 4:15PM, Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force agents and Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit arrived with a search warrant at the Heather Lane home of Daniel James Parks. He’s on Post Release Supervision and has a long history of arrests for drugs and violence. During the search of his home, agents reported finding almost $26,000 cash, 10.5 of Heroin, a small amount of Methamphetamine, 11 bottles of Methadone, and evidence of sales, along with an AR-15 semi-auto rifle, multiple 30-round magazines, a 9 millimeter pistol, a stun gun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. While the search was underway, 26-year-old Michael Webb showed up. Agents say he’s a well known drug dealer and when they searched him they found bundles of cash hidden in his clothing that totaled $4,100. He had no explanation for the money and, believing it was drug dealing proceeds, SINTF seized the cash. Parks was booked into jail for multiple drug and weapons charges.
