The Vice Mayor of Paradise has been arrested after the Butte County Sheriff’s Office says he fell for an online underage sex sting. Michael Zuccolillo reportedly carried on a correspondence with a detective who he thought was a 16-year-old girl from China. Officials say Zuccolillo sent many lewd messages and photos of his genitals, and discussed having sex with the girl and her older sister. The correspondence was apparently started by a private citizen who had a vendetta against Zuccolillo for a bad business deal. The man approached authorities with the evidence, and the sting was taken over by Butte County D.A. Investigators and the F.B.I., concluding with Zuccolillo’s arrest Tuesday.
