Friday Update: 26th Case Of COVID-19 Reported In Shasta County

Another Shasta County resident has tested positive for Coronavirus, the woman in her 70’s is only the second new case in a week, for a total of 26. Three Shasta County residents have died from the virus. 13 have recovered. 8 active cases are in isolation, two of them hospitalized. 907 COVID tests have shown negative results. 42 people are currently under quarantine orders due to possible exposure.

Testing has become more widely available in Shasta County. Anyone with the symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough and shortness of breath, should request a test from their healthcare provider or public health at 225-5591.

Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has 16 cases. Siskiyou County has 5, but 3 have recovered. Humboldt County has 52. Glenn County has 4. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or Modoc Counties.
