Shasta Lake Prisoner Released Due To COVID-19 Arrested For Prowling

A convict who’s just been released from prison was arrested for prowling early Saturday morning in the Parkview Neighborhood. Redding Police were called at 2:20AM by residents on state street, saying that a man was prowling. While officers were on the way, the residents said the man was trying to get inside, banging repeatedly on the front door while trying to get it open. Officers arrived to find 31-year-old Anthony Parks of Shasta Lake in front of the house, apparently under the influence of speed. He had apparently been prowling through several other yards as well. Parks had been released from prison 5 days earlier. He was one of the 50 inmates released early by the Department of Corrections due to COVID-19 fears.
