Monday Update: 26 COVID-19 Cases In Shasta County

In the last ten days, there have been only two additional cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Shasta County. The last one was on Thursday for a total of 26. Three Shasta County residents have died from the virus. 19 have recovered. Three active cases are in isolation, one of them hospitalized. 963 COVID tests have shown negative results. 13 people are currently under quarantine orders due to possible exposure.

Testing has become more widely available in Shasta County. Anyone with a fever, cough and shortness of breath, should request a test from their healthcare provider or public health at 225-5591.

Other Northstate counties are also holding steady. Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has 16 cases. Siskiyou County has 5, but 3 have recovered. Humboldt County has 52. Glenn County has 4. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or Modoc Counties.
