Shasta District Fair Expected To Be Held In June As Planned

Shasta District Fair organizers are caught between a public event ban and an uncertain future as they try to gauge whether restrictions will be lifted in time for the fair in the last week of June. As of now, the fair is still set for June 24th through the 27th, but they await guidance by the Governor and public health officials. They hope to have a better idea about how to proceed when the Governor resets the state’s direction at the beginning of May. One group that’s especially on edge are the kids in the 4-H and F.F.A. raising animals for the Junior Livestock Exhibit. Even in the unfortunate event that the fair is canceled, all the hard work won’t be a complete loss, as a Junior Livestock Auction will be held online.
