No Current Hospitalizations For COVID-19 Reported In Shasta County

Shasta County continues its streak of no new Coronavirus cases, and another patient has recovered. There have been 26 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Shasta County. The last one was Thursday. Three Shasta County residents have died from the virus. 20 have now recovered. Three active cases are in isolation, none of them hospitalized. 1063 COVID tests have shown negative results. 11 people are currently under quarantine orders due to possible exposure.

Testing has become more widely available in Shasta County, and both major hospitals now have rapid testing capability. Anyone with a fever, cough and shortness of breath should request a test from their healthcare provider or public health at 225-5591.

Other Northstate counties have also leveled out. Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has 16 cases. Siskiyou County has 5, but 3 have recovered. Humboldt County has 52. Glenn County has 4. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or Modoc Counties.
