Big Rig Crashes Across Center Median In Tehama County

A trucker in Tehama County had a wild ride Wednesday morning that fortunately ended without injury. Just before 7:30AM, a big rig that was northbound on Interstate Five near Flores Avenue just south of Red Bluff made a sudden veer to the left for reasons that are unclear. The semi with a fully loaded 53 foot trailer hauling 60,000 pounds barreled across the freeway median, across the southbound lanes and off into an orchard, where it became lodged after taking out some almond trees. The tractor-trailer remained upright and nobody was hurt.
