Monday Update: Shasta County Remains At 31 Cases Of COVID-19

No new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Shasta County over the weekend. The total number of confirmed cases remains at 31. Four people have died from Coronavirus in Shasta County. 5 people are still sick and in isolation, one of them hospitalized. 14 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. There have been 1,492 people who have tested negative so far.

A Covid testing station at Shasta College is testing health care workers and public safety personnel who are showing no symptoms. There’s no estimate yet on when the asymptomatic testing will be opened up to the general public.

Those with symptoms of Covid 19, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or public health at 225-5591.

Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has had 17 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5, but all have recovered. Glenn County has had 5. There have been 54 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or modoc Counties.
