Friday Update: Coronavirus Cases Remains At 31

It’s been more than a week since the last new case of COVID-19 was reported in Shasta County. The total number of confirmed cases is 31. Four people have died from Coronavirus in Shasta County. Two people are still sick and in isolation, one of them hospitalized. Eight people are quarantined due to possible exposure.

Tehama County’s only confirmed Coronavirus patient has died. Butte County has had 18 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5, but all have recovered. Glenn County has had 6. There have been 55 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Trinity, Lassen or Modoc Counties.

1,778 people have tested negative for Coronavirus so far in Shasta County. Anyone, even with no symptoms, can get tested at a Covid testing station at Shasta College or at the Red Bluff Community Center. Appointments must be made online at lhi.care/covidtesting
Those with symptoms, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or Shasta County Public Health at 225-5591 to set a mobile testing appointment. For Tehama County, drive-through testing is being done at the Dignity Health Solano Street medical clinic in corning. Appointments can be made at 824-4002.
