A man is being sought for a double murder in Tehama County. The Sheriff’s Office is looking for 27-year-old Roberto Villa Valencia for the shooting deaths of 22-year-old Edgar Alejandro Villa Valencia and 20-year-old Juan Manuel Valencia Vargas. The men were killed April 30th in the Richfield area north of Corning in the dry bed of Thomes Creek near Highway 99W. Friends of one victim took him to Saint Elizabeth Hospital, where he died of a gunshot wound to his torso. Tehama County Major Crimes Detectives were processing the murder scene at Thomes Creek later and followed a trail of blood about 200 yards to find the other dead man, who also had been shot in the torso. Thursday a high-risk search warrant was served at a house on 6th Avenue in Corning. Additional evidence was found, but Roberto Valencia remains at large.
