4 people were taken to the hospital after a chase in Redding on Friday night. Redding Police were called at 10:43PM to the 2900 block of Lanning Avenue on the report of a disturbance. As officers were heading to the location they spotted a white Volkswagen sedan leaving the scene. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but police say the driver began driving in a reckless manner at high speeds. The officers did not pursue the vehicle for a number of factors. The car was later found crashed at the intersection of Cypress Avenue and the Southbound On-Ramp to I-5. 20-year-old Christian Infante and 3 juveniles were taken to Mercy Medical Center. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash.
