Tuesday 12PM: New Cases Confirmed In Shasta & Trinity Counties

A Shasta County man in his 50s has tested positive for COVID-19. That brings the total number of confirmed cases to 32. 4 people have died but the other 27 have recovered. 7 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. 2,147 tests have shown negative results.

Trinity County has a 2nd reported Coronavirus case. The 1st case was reported on Friday evening, and the new case was confirmed by lab testing and was announced Tuesday. Tehama County’s only confirmed patient has died. Butte County has had 20 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5, but all have recovered. Glenn County has had 6. There have been 57 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Lassen or Modoc Counties.

Anyone, even with no symptoms, can get tested at a Covid testing station at Shasta College or at the Red Bluff Community Center. Appointments must be made online at lhi.care/covidtesting. Those with symptoms, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or Shasta County Public Health at 225-5591 to set a mobile testing appointment. For Tehama County, drive-through testing is being done at the Dignity Health Solano Street Medical Clinic in Corning. Appointments can be made at 824-4002.
