Shasta County has another confirmed COVID-19 case, a man in his 30’s, bringing the total to 33. Both of the cases identified this week have been people showing no symptoms. Public Health says this reinforces the importance for everyone to follow safe practices. 4 people have died and the other 27 are no longer in isolation. 10 people are quarantined due to possible exposure. 2,554 tests have shown negative results.

Trinity County has two Coronavirus cases. Tehama County’s only confirmed patient has died. Butte County has had 22 cases. Siskiyou County has had 5. Glenn County has had 7. There have been 64 cases in Humboldt County. There are still none reported in Lassen or Modoc counties.

Anyone, even with no symptoms, can get tested for free at a Covid testing station at Shasta College or at the Red Bluff Community Center or at Corning High School. If insurance doesn’t cover the cost, the state will. Appointments must be made online at lhi.care/covidtesting.
Those with symptoms, which include cough, fever and difficulty breathing, should still contact their healthcare provider or Shasta County Public Health at 225-5591 to set a mobile testing appointment.
