A pedestrian who died after being struck by a car in Redding Monday night has been identified by the Coroners Office as a woman from Chico. At 10:17PM Monday, 46-year-old Razy Lynn Tufnell was trying to cross Highway 273 at Buenaventura Boulevard and ran into the path of a northbound car driven by 25-year-old Gessica Leuschner. Redding Police evaluated Leuschner and determined she was not under the influence of anything, and they don’t believe speed was a factor either. Witnesses are urged to contact the RPD Traffic Division.
