Although many ballots are still being counted in Shasta County, it’s apparent that the First District Congressional race, State Assembly and State Senate have been swept by Republican incumbents. The gap has widened for Patrick Jones to take the 4th District Shasta County Supervisor seat from Steve Morgan. The three Shasta Lake City Council incumbents have apparently retained their positions. It looks the Redding City Council will add Mark Mezzano to its ranks while incumbents Julie Winter and Adam McElvain are in a close race for the remaining seat.
