The Redding Police SWAT Team was deployed for a domestic violence call in East Redding friday morning, but the situation ended peacefully. Shortly after 8AM, a young child called 9-1-1 from the Park West Apartments on Dana Drive saying her mother was being assaulted by her boyfriend. When the first responding officer pulled in to the lot, 30-year-old Anthony Simons was reportedly walking out of the apartment with an infant in one arm and a shotgun in the other. When he saw police he went back inside. The SWAT Team was called to the scene and spent 40 minutes on the P.A. calling the occupants out. Eventually a woman and her two children came out. Police left without making an arrest, but are seeking charges against Simons.
