CHP Helicopter Rescues Man Who Jumped Into The Sacramento River

A man was plucked out of the frigid Sacramento River Thursday morning after jumping from the Highway 44 Bridge. The unidentified man made the jump at around 7:30AM and floated downriver to the area of aqua golf, where he was treading water. A CHP helicopter crew used a rescue basket to rescue the man, who was then taken by ambulance to a hospital.
