The deadline has been extended to apply for individual assistance from FEMA for survivors of the August Lightning Complex. Trinity County’s late inclusion in the disaster declaration was piggybacked onto the August Complex, so homeowners and others affected late in the fire’s spread have had to accelerate the process of applying by the deadline, which was Saturday. Now a collective sigh of relief can be heard as the deadline has been extended to December 11th. It can be dome online at disasterassistance.gov . Meanwhile, survivors of the Zogg Fire have until December 16th. Questions can be directed to 1-800-621-3362.
