Someone died in a vehicle fire early Friday morning at Lake Shasta, according to the CHP. At 3:45AM a pickup truck that was towing a U-Haul trailer was stopped on the Bridge Bay Road offramp from Northbound Interstate 5. The pickup was fully engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived, and flames spread to the trailer as well as roadside vegetation, but it was contained quickly. One person was found deceased inside the truck.
