Redding’s annual Downtown Lighted Christmas Parade will still go on this year but it won’t be in Redding and it won’t be a parade. The Active 20-30 Club of Redding will hold the event at the Shasta District Fair and Event Center in Anderson. The displays will be stationary and it’ll be the spectators who move through the route in their cars. There will be no charge for the parade, which begins at 6PM this Saturday December 5th.
Turtle Bay has a light show spectacular for the holidays. The Redding Garden of Lights features thousands upon thousands of colorful LED lights along a winding trail through 10 acres of the McConnell Botanical Gardens. Food and drinks and gifts are available for purchase as well. The impressive display runs through December 27th. Tickets are available at reddinggardenoflights.org.
