Two people are badly hurt from a house fire Wednesday morning in East Redding. The house on Ledell Drive off Churn Creek Road was reported on fire at 5AM. Some people had been walking by and noticed flames coming out the front living room window. They began yelling and banging on the house. The occupants couldn’t make it to the front door so the bystanders pulled three of them out of a bedroom window. Two others were rescued by firefighters and were both transported by ambulance, according to Battalion Chief Mike Sawyer. The first arriving firefighters had reported the structure to be about 50% involved in fire and called for a second alarm, bringing all the city’s resources.
