Residents who were affected by the Zogg Fire or the Slater Fire in Siskiyou County have until the end of the day Wednesday to apply for federal assistance. The aid available is in the form of grants or low-interest disaster loans from FEMA and the SBA. Wildfire survivors can apply for the disaster aid online at disasterassistance.gov or the s.b.a. at disasterloanassistance.sba.gov. Applications can also be done on the FEMA app or by calling the agency’s hotline at 800-462-7585.
