Corning Police say the same man led them on a high speed chase for the second time in less than a month. At 11:30PM Saturday night an officer at Houghton and Butte saw a minivan roll through the stop sign at 10 miles an hour. When he tried to pull the van over, the driver accelerated to 75 miles an hour on Solano to Barham to O Avenue, where the van smashed through a gate in a private driveway. The driver left the van rolling and took off on foot through the back yard. Blaze the K9 was sent after him. The dog jumped two fences before chasing down Jorge Bucioperez. He fought back, biting the dog and also trying to bite officers while barking at them. Bucioperez was reportedly drunk, had a suspended license for a prior DUI and had Meth in the van. He apparently had led Corning Police on another chase on November 21st.
