Men From Seattle Turn Themselves In For Cottonwood Murder

Two men have turned themselves in for a murder last month in West Cottonwood, as revealed Monday by Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives. Very early on November 3rd, deputies were called to Two Feathers Road, where they found two people suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. 19-year-old Ciaara Robberson of Redding survived the shooting and is recovering. 22-year-old Isaac Patino of McKinleyville was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital. Detectives say the property was being used to grow marijuana and there were several makeshift buildings and a dilapidated travel trailer. The crop had already been processed and removed. Detectives learned that the suspects used the names “Qufar” and “Pirate”, and they identified Qufar as 28-year-old Abdiqafar Mohamud Mohamud of Seattle. A warrant was issued for him and on Saturday he turned himself in to Shasta County Jail. On November 7th someone contacted the jail and said he was responsible for the killing and would surrender. The next day 28-year-old Abdishakur Isaq Ibrahim of Seattle, believed to be “Pirate”, turned himself in. Both men are still in jail and neither has made a statement to detectives. The major crimes unit is still seeking information at 245-6135.
