A much loved figure at Good News Rescue Mission has passed away. Bill Hartman died last Wednesday after struggling for weeks with COVID-19. After battling his own addiction, Bill spent the final chapters of his life dedicated to helping free others from the chains of addiction. A large imposing man with a distinctive walk that commanded respect, Bill was known by man for his kindness and compassion for the downtrodden. He was supported spiritually through his illness by hundreds of well wishers, many of them through a Facebook page called “Praying For Bill Hartman”.
