4 men from Central California led police on a chase after a bold break in at a West Redding marijuana store. Shortly before 5AM last Thursday, an employee of Sundial Collective on Buenaventura reported he was inside the business when he heard glass break and saw several people stealing merchandise. They fled in a car with a pizza delivery sign on it. Responding officers spotted the car and chased it onto southbound I-5 but they stopped the pursuit when they went over 100 miles an hour. The CHP and sheriff’s deputies saw the car heading southbound and it broke down near Front Street and Chestnut in Cottonwood. One passenger got away on foot, but four others stayed with the car. The men from San Jose, Merced and Farmersville aged between 18 to 29-years-old were booked into jail.
