Parolee Arrested After 44 Mile Chase On New Years Eve

A man was chased by Corning Police until his car broke down. Just before Midnight New Year’s Eve an officer saw a Honda Civic run a red light at McKinley and Toomes. A traffic stop was attempted but the driver fled at around 100 miles an hour and threw a gun out his window that was later found to be an air pistol that looked like a real gun. The chase left Corning and went through Gerber and Los Molinos, then went south on Highway 99 before cutting over to Highway 32 near Hamilton City. After about 44 miles the Honda had mechanical problems and crashed into a tree. The driver got out and ran but Blaze the K9 was sent after him. Cesar Macedo was quickly captured. He’s on parole and had a no bail arrest warrant. After being treated for his dog bites he was booked into jail.
