RPD: 3 Men Believed To Have Overdosed On Fentanyl

Fentanyl is believed to be behind the deaths of three people at a Redding home. Monday afternoon Redding Police were called to a house on Park Marina Drive at Olympus Avenue. Redding Fire Department helped officers gain entry and they found the three deceased people. Evidence led officers to believe the three had been using drugs and possibly overdosed. Shasta Interagency Narcotics Task Force was called to analyze substances found in the house and preliminary tests show it to contain Fentanyl, a highly concentrated narcotic that’s sometimes used by dealers to boost the strength of their drugs, often without the knowledge of their customers. Names will be released after family is notified.
